Eagle Scout Project---Building and setting Fish Attractors.
Jim, Steven Taylor here. This project may be of some interest to you.
My 15 year old son, Alex Taylor, has just completed his Eagle Scout project. He is in Troup 346 at Saint Gabriel in Fern Creek, KY.
I will have Alex call in to Jim Strader this Sunday night to talk about it.
We built 20 fish attractors of which 10 were placed around an
existing fishing pier and the other 10 off main fishing points at McNeely Lake in Souther Jefferson County.. Jeff Crosby, Assistant Biologist for this Region witnessed the event. We built the attractors on June 21st and set them on the 22nd with the assistance of the parents and Scouts from Troop 346.
This project was approved by the KDFWR and to their knowledge is the first of its kind by Scouts in KY. They want a copy of any article written for this project for their promotional purposes.
If you would like I can zip all of the pictures I have and email them to you. I can be reached at the three numbers listed below and Alex can be reached at the home number. Alex has all of the contact names of everyone involved along with phone numbers if you would want to interview any of them.
Please email a copy of any article you write to me for Alex Portfolio and for the KDFWR files.
BassFan, TBF and FLW Outdoors are all writing articles on this project as well. Let me know if you want any other information.
Thanks
Steven Taylor
