Beaver lake report

Anyone want to catch some bass go to beaver,but if you want to catch bigger fish don,t go lol--I went today got maybe 50 biggest one maybe 13 inch all on tubes color didn,t matter.So i started useing all old tubes that i never catch fish on-- it worked an i was the only boat on the lake...water is green stain an up-----fish was coming from old moss line to the bank,,gl to all that goes there....

Where is Beaver Lake? It sounds like a great place to take my kids fishin. I live just south of Ft. Knox. Is it a small lake? We have a small bass boat and would like to find some smaller lakes with some good fishin'. Any help is appreciated.

Beaver lake is about 7 miles west of lawrenceburg on hwy. 62,then right on 749. There is a sign for beaver at that turn and also a small fire station. Beaver is about 170 acres and has a 10hp motor limit but the bigger boats can use trolling motors and fish with no problem.As stated the big bass bite is slow this yr. but a 20 to 50 bass day in the 10 to 14 inch range is common. Bluegill and shellcrackers are great this yr. with crappie and cats good. Ther is a web site at wwww.fairwindsatbeaverlake.com for more imformation.

There are some GOOD fish in that lake. I have my biggest fish from that lake an 8 pound 1 ounce monster. There are reports of 10's and 11's that were thrown back by people who fish the lake regular..
I was criticized for keeping my 8 but I thought it was a Spotted BAss.. (Lake has some good ones) and kept it to see if it was a record.

Yes jim i know there are big fish still in that lake.but not as many as years past lol.When i said don,t go i was meaning the the day after i went...bigger bite was off.....I have one on my wall right beside me that went almost 9 lb. from beaver lake,an i have caught many more from that place..back years ago in 1981 i went to beaver lake 50 times in 1 year wow try that now with gas prices ouch..gl to all

Can someone give me directions from Billtown Road near the Snyder Freeway to Beaver Lake. I'd really like to fish the lake but don't know the directions. Thanks for the help...

Any fish on the end of your line is a great fish....better than no fish at all....

Used to live in Frankfort and fished Beaver a few times. Flip tubes and flukes under and around the boat docks will produce fish after fish but not much size. Working flukes or spinnerbaits just outside the moss line will work also. Moss and grass is abundant in the lake. Always caught my better fish on a White Rat over the moss or grass. Good luck for I have not fished the lake in over a year.
