    Ultimate Match Fishing

Just caught the tail end of Elias v/s Thlevaros, is this the first episode? I kept an eye on this all year and have waited for the moment of the first episode, and I missed it. Anyone care to fill me in?

DEW... want to tell a story??

I too saw the episode. It was really fun.

I liked the fact that even though Elias had such a big lead going into the fourth period, but he continued to fish and give Peter T. a chance to catch fish.

A friend from the board who posts here, told me an interesting story about the filming of the episode pitting Luke Clausen against Gerald Swindle... perhaps DEW will retell the story!!

    How about it Darrell?

    RE: Ultimate Match Fishing

Pardon me....Ultimate Match Fishing "Reloaded", lol, personal favorites, Luke and Rick, Would like to see Luke win, but would like more to see Luke meet Rick at the final round and Rick take Luke to school like he did Schultz in '05

Ike all the way as long as someone don't toss him out of the boat for screaming at them.

I hope Tom Mann Jr. schools Ike and sends him packing with his tail between his legs.

At least his head and tail would be in the same spot then since he spends much of the time with his head between his legs.

Hmmm last time I checked he was first in AOY standings. He hasn't been sent home much at all this year. Most guys may not like his style but he is the best out there right now and is getting many young kids involved. GO IKE!!

    Just a guess.....

I'm guessing Ike does pretty well. If you got to watch the trailers... the comercials of upcoming shows, you might have noticed Ike doing a lot of break dancing in his gray t-shirt on the deck of his boat. I'm guessing he must have caught at least one good fish, and maybe more.

I'm no Ike fan, but man that guy can fish!!! I respect him for that.

    RE: Just a guess.....

Great show! My .02 cents on Ike, the yelling kills me, but I have watched him really go the extra mile for kids. Was down at KY Lake for the BASS Elite with some friends and one of my buddy's stayed the last day. Ike didn't qualify to fish, but he had kids in his boat around the marina teaching them how.

As for Swindle, I know what you mean. When he said on camera, "I'm tired of trying and losing", I stopped caring. Still a heck of an angler.

    Yeah DEW

Hey, let's here that story, I'm hoping Clausen takes the win simply because I lost interest in G-man the day he broke off 6lb line in a bush on a big fish after he said "I'm not afraid to throw 6lb line in the bushes, you gotta have guts to do this." His guts broke and he cussed everything around. Although he is from one of my home states, I'm going for the Northwesterner.
I am still an Ike fan mainly due to the ability of catching fish when needed as Danny said, he has earned his respect from me.
I noticed the 2nd round is on Lake Guntersville unless I misread the end of the show, if so they are traveling an awful lot and fishing an awful lot for the purse, $50,000. We won't go into that though.
Thanks to Matt, I put that on my favorites right away and taped the times on my t.v., I'm sure you are tired from the traveling though you might be used to it by now right?
    Take care

    Wait for future episodes

I'll tell you if the Outdoor Channel edits the shows correct, there will be some fireworks.

All I can say is that at one point one of the anlgers was pre fishing and came upon the 2 anglers for that day fishing "His Hole" and went nuts on camera, so bad that the 2 guys competing that day left the spot when both were ON FIRE. If they edit this the way they should it will make for good TV and show you a side of an angler that most have never seen, the wrong side.

It's tough though watching when I got to see it live. The show was filmed for the first round on KY Lake out of the Moors (awesome place), and then had 1 week off and headed down south for the next round after the Elite Series event ended. It's a big suprise who wins, stay tuned.

    Hey matt....

You are right, I should not be jumping the gun. I heard the information second... no third hand, but I would be surprised if they show what I was told about. However, you know fishermen, our fish grow the fastest between the time we caught them and told others about them...LOL

Hey, have you read any of my comments on my trailer problems? My dealer is no longer a Triton dealer, and it appears a dealer in Paducah got the brand, and just expect that they have my business. I'm not so sure of that.

Do you have any ideas or suggestions for me? If possible, I'd love to talk with you about it.

Could you maybe tell me a good time to give you a call, and the number?

    Thanks,

    Danny

    RE: Hey matt....

If we're talking about the same situation, it's probably worse than you heard. I was blown away when they called me and told me what happened, I had just left the day it happened.

As far as your trailer problems, the dealer you talking about down in Paducah are pretty good guys if you give them a chance. Tony at Sportsman Edge brought several of his employees up to our store and shows numerous times to train and I think if you give them a fair shot they'll be able to help you. I'm available to talk M-Sa, my cell phone is 859-743-2408. Let me know what's going on and maybe I can help in some way. I did see a while back a post you made about your trailer, but I can't say I read the entire post.
