RE: For the sake of discussion.....

Canny the guys who have fished against them will remember them forever. They will have to fish OUT OF STATE and out of region to be able to fish again. NO BIG tournament will take them and again the Lie Detector will most likely trip them up.
I just dont believe they will be able to do this any time real soon. 5 years down the road maybe, but fishermen have VERY LONG MEMORIES.. I still remember my first time fishing. I still remember my first fish, and I sure as hell would remember the 2 guys who stole a boat from me in a tournament.

While some of you are ready to lynch these men for allegedly cheating and so much hatred for these two, let me ask you a question, have you ever done wrong. I agree that cheating is wrong ,whether it is at work, on your spouse,on taxes,at cards,or any type.I pray for these men and their families and friends.I pray that they will find true repentance and that they will find salvation.Let the courts decide their punishment if guilty and have a heart.

remember a lot of these guys have spent many a dollars and fishing hours to have these guys take it.I think you may not understand the code of ethics alot of honest tournament fisherman carry.how would you like to find out you congratulated a team and shook their hand that stole your money.the guy that would have honestly won that boat could have used it or used the money he could have sold it for.bad enough to cheat but a benifit tournament, easy for you to say forget it.

Larry, I have a heart, a heart that realizes that long ago these men would have been introduced to a 20 ft leather whip for a couple hours. But that no longer happens, I think you are a little nieve about the subject, what they did comes 2nd to someone cheating on their wife with another "wife", IMO. Just ask the guys who fished the Relay for Life.

Coombaya, me lord, Coombaya. I'm sick and tired of being politically correct. If I do something stupid or wrong I'll pay for it. Cheating, stealing and lieing is wrong, PERIOD.

You are right..wrong is wrong..right is right. There is no grey line. I went to the dump here one day and there was a lady sitting in the car and her son (about 14) or so was standing at the entrance to the dump, with a huge hand held sign that read, "I am sorry if I defaced your property, please forgive me as it will never happen again". After talking to the mom, the young boy got caught spray painting some property and part of his COMMUNITY SERVICE was to stand there for 4 Sats in a row. I can bet you couldnt pay that young man to spray paint anything now.

Maybe after these 2 yahoos are found guilty by a court of law, which I am sure they will be, they should be made to stand at some weigh-ins with a sign around their necks.

    Just my 2 cents worth

RE: National radio mentions Barkley cheaters

YOU KNOW IT HURTS ME MORE THAN ANYONE THAT HAS MADE A COMMENT HERE. BECAUSE I KNOW MORE ABOUT THESE TWO THAN YOU WILL EVER KNOW. I NEVER IN MY LIFE WOULD HAVE DREAMED THAT THEY WOULD DO SOMETHING THIS DEGRADING. ITS REALLY HARD FOR ME TO FIND THE RIGHT WORDS HERE, TO LET YOU FOLKS KNOW HOW I REALLY FEEL. IN ALL MY YEARS FISHING CLUBS AND TOURNAMENTS, AND WORKING WITH THE KBF. I FOR ONE COULD NEVER LOOK AT A MAN AND TAKE HIS MONEY, THAT I HAD JUST CHEATED. ALSO FOR SOMEONE TO DO A PERSON THAT THEY KNOW AND LIVE AROUND, AND STILL CHEAT THEM, ALL I CAN SAY TO THOSE TWO IS, I HOPE YOU ASK GOD TO FORGIVE YOU. I ALSO BELIEVE THAT YOU TWO WILL RECIEVE ALL THAT IS COMING TO YOU, AND YES YOU DO DESERVE IT...........SNIPER GONE

Sniper well said! I justed hated it took so long for them to get caught after we and others knew they were cheating. Like Dewayne said to me that morning they got caught that they had passed 2 lie detector test, I said oh!! really, did not know that to be true!!!! Then later when they weighed in their fish at the tournament he said he caught all of them in one spot(he forget to say net) Oh!!!!! those dang cameras they just do not lie!!!!!!!!!!

Lawdog you need to check your statute again. Anything over $300 is a class D Felony. You can look it up here. Last time I checked a $30,000 bassboat was over $300.

    Tournament Directors

    To all tournament directors...
I have a suggestion, and it may or may not work.. but here goes.
As winners of a Charity Tournament an angler "Represents" that charity, in the minds of Anglers. Winners of tournaments are KNOWN for being the winner of Such and Such a tournament.
From now on put a clause in your tournament regulations that states.. AS a future representative of this tournament as a winner if you are caught cheating during the next 24 months you agree to repay all winnings to the tournament, to be distributed as the tournament organizers see fit. (IE. Charity or to the runners up of that tournament.)
Once signed it is a legal agreement. The winner agrees to represent in a positive manner the Tournament and its anglers.
    NOW..
I realize that will not STOP most cheaters, but it will automatically increase any penalty. It is hard to prove cheating in a tournament once the rods and reels are put away and the check cashed, and the boat is sold.. BUT signing an agreement to repay all winnings should be binding and will give all cheaters or people who MIGHT cheat more to think about.

On the locals for money it happens all the time. i wish it would not but it will always if money is involved. The pwt has figured out that problem and I know it would not apply to local bass tournaments but if there is no honor it is a joke. when that situation changes it might be fun to fish the tournaments but I doubt that will happen. Same thing for the past 20 years, go figure?
