An email is circulating around the fishing world. A guy will email a guide or a fishing business, hotel etc..
Book a trip, rooms etc.. and then send a certified cashiers check to the person or business.
His check is from his travel agent who will only issue one check and he wants you to cash the check and mail the difference to him. The CERTIFIED CASHIERS CHECK bounces 4 days later. He now has your bank info if you sent a check, and YOUR money. Banks are NOT catching it and the guides or business are out of pocket. The scheme can be figured out simply by looking at the mail. It will have bad grammer and bad spelling and uses the ( I ) personal spelling ( i )
If you own a business beware this scam. If you are a guide be careful as well. I have recieved over 40 positive returns on mail I have sent. The person could call you to do this as he has called to verify a check was recieved after setting it up by email.
