    RE: Jim......

As I said before, I think this a great idea and commend you for trying to get this established the only concern was for the fishs well being and to be released unharmed. And you are absolutley right, I have been to many weigh-ins where the fish have suffered far more harm waiting to be weighed in than they would the way you suggest and I,m sure most folks that use this board would agree. Just seems that everyone here are really aware of some of the "side affects", no harm of thinking of the fish first. Again great idea, and would love to see it come to other lakes like laurel and cumberland where I fish. Would be very interesting. Just try to keep Danny calmed down LOL.........Just hacking on ya.

The KDFRW would probably like to monitor that Lake record stats. Don't they have to be the ones to certify such things.

Can Cedar Creeks conditions induce a smallmouth spawn and maintain a population????

THat would be awesome if it could.

    RE: Jim......

For lake records no they dont since Fish and Wildlife does not recognize lake records. We are attempting to set this up outside of the Fish and Wildlife system hoping that in the future Fish and Wildlife will participate more. I will send pictures to them to ask for verification.. however right now the call is Fishin.com's, and the guys here on the board.
When I get the pictures from Cedar Creek Outfitters I will post them for a vote.. that is how I will do all of them for the time being.

    RE: Jim......

I caught the lake record channel cat last night out of my kayak "catyakking". I didn't want to go to the trouble of hauling a fish that I was going to release overland for a mile, so she's still swimmin' in there boys!

**was only about 3.5 to 4 lbs, but the record is open right now :)

    Way to go 'gurl....

You just admitted to fishing your first tournament!!!!!!!!

In tournaments, people compete for a prize by catching the most weight. Here is a prize, of recognition and pride, and the tournament is a one fish tournament. AND you who has repeatedly reported your disdane for tournaments have now joined the the frey. LMAO

You can now come back to the next get together. Just don't admit to anyone next time who you post as...LOL

Just joking with you miss gurl... don't get mad.

Actually the next get together will be just like all the others. Everyone is welcome to a nice cook out and some great fellowship. The cooking and the get together will probably start around 1 or 2 in the afternoon. Before that, whatever the attendees wish to do is up to them. Perhaps you can organize a catfish tournament. I think that would be fun, and offer something new for some of the catfishing folks here.

GREAT idea. Since the lake is kind of big for your kyak, I'd be willing to possibly share the boat for the catfish tournament.

I'm looking forward to meeting you, and even more of the regular posters as well as many of the newer ones.
