LAST EDITED ON Jul-08-06 AT 08:13AM (EST)[p]He very well could be covering all bass that might be in there, but he just needs to state that instead of saying that it's only stocked fish. I was just trying to clear up the contradiction in the statement, and I should have asked the question differently.

I've caught one of those black nose crappie as well. I had heard of them, but never seen them so I wasn't sure if that's what I caught or it was just a black crappie with a strange stripe.

That's basically what they are ... a Black Crappie with a genetic marker, that produces a black stripe from the throat- up between the eyes - to the dorsal fin. They occur naturally, but not in any great numbers, in a section of the White River in Arkansas. They're primary use was by DNR biologists, to stock small lakes & ponds, so they could identify them from the resident population (when doing studies). They are not a hybrid, as some people think, just a Black Crappie with a recessive coloration gene. They've been stocked in, or escaped to, many large bodies of water -- like KY Lake, Dale Hollow, Watts Bar. I've caught them at Watts Bar, up to 1.5lbs ... and they're a handful on light tackle ... LOL!!

Was down on Cedar Creek yesterday (Sat) ... and caught some then. Strangest thing, though ... Cedar Creek Crappie were "in the jumps". We actually caught quite a few Crappie, on the surface, busting Shad ... out in the middle of the lake !! Now, there's something you don't see every day ...... LOL!! .... cp

Pretty cool about the jumps. I've caught a few in Cedar Creek on small cranks fished topwater style. They're definitely aggressive there....too bad they're all about 5-6 inches long.

Get real. I'm not arguing anything. He made a statement that is a direct contradiction to another statement in that post. I just want clarification, not an argument.

Actually I had deleted my post as quickly as possible hoping you would not see it. I did not want to appear to be sinking to your level of just trying to stir the pot. I was pointing out your stirring the pot, and in doing so, I kind of felt maybe I was doing the same.

I should have known you would be watching and waiting, for a chance to dual with someone. However, if you feel deceived, you can go back and edit your own post and make it say whatever you want it to.

I don't stir the pot. I post my opinions. I don't get any satisfaction from making people angry, and I certainly don't lurk here for that purpose.

Thanks for another personal attack...er...apology, though.

I'm sorry you can't tell the difference between arguing and asking for clarification on a confusing statement.
