    Creek Report 07/02/06

Got a chance to get out with APB on Sunday. The weather was great. Bluebird skies don't really effect the fish in the creek. Most of the waters are heavily shaded.
We went to a remote place and hiked down a while before making the turn and starting back upstream.
The fishing was great we caught plenty of fish. This yr's fry made thierselves visible also. I actually caught some of those little 3 inchers. Also caught some that went about 4-5in, they appear to be last yrs class. This is pleasing to say the least.
APB was throwing his homemade plugs which varied in size. He got some nice blowups twitching these baits. He's got nerves of steel. He has the discipline to not jerk the fire out of it until the fish is on. I was a fish hit it 3-4 times before it finally hooked up. Heck once he was hung on a log and was trying to shake it loose when a fish charged upon the log and almost hooked itself....

It was a good trip. Like I mentioned we caught several fish from 3" up to 15".

    Thanks Andrew for the trip.
    Billy

Okay....I admit it....I'm jealous! I haven't been since our Canada trip.

It's tough to get motivated when you are spoiled like that.

Nerves of steel and buns of fiberglass, yep, thats me :P Just takes missing a few hundred before you learn not to set until you feel them.

Always good to fish with some who knows alot about the water you are on, and who throws stuff very different than what you normally throw. Learned plenty of new things from watching Billy fish the same holes as me. I have that plug already for the next time the conditions are like that ;) Don't think I can hit the next zip code with it, so it might be hard for me to get used to throwing it (lol!!).

Hey Billy...thanks for the update! I've been busier than all get out here lately, both at work and at home so I haven't had much time to get away...none the less, from what I've been reading on here it sounds like you guys have a fall get together planned, is this correct?
