    Is this possible?

    Went fishing on the river today. Put in at Coxs park boat ramp and went up river.Ended up catching 25 fish, and one 5lb plus largemouth on the main river. The fish was all beat up and bleeding from the tail like it has just finished spawning. Is this possible?

It certainly is not the norm but it does happen. As a matter of fact we had a bass a little over 5lbs last Thursday caught in shallow water that was obviously just off the nest recently...flabby belly, tail beat up...it happens.
