Hope this is okay for the board members. I personally don't know Mike Auten but have talked with him via email. He seems like a good person so I felt I should pass this along for the "Kentucky fishin.com support team". Check out the link below for Mike's son Ryan. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

While I’m at it also please keep in your thoughts and prayers for my sister in-law Shelley. She has been recovering from major surgery since Jan 5th. Shelley is trying very hard to recover from cancer surgery, radiation, and chemo.
Thank you,
Barry Ward

Good luck prayers are with you
At 12 inches and 1lb-4oz looks like a keeper to me. You'll have my prayers. God Bless.
I think this is very appropriate. We as a fishing community are known for caring for one another.
Your sister will be in our prayers, as is Mike Auten, his wife, and their child. You know the birth was 16 weeks premature.
I encourage everyone to visit bassfan.com. there is a story there with a link where you can make donations to a fund set up to help defray medical and travel costs. The child is being treated at Kosairs Children's Hospital in Louisville.
Sorry I don't have the exact link, it's been a couple of days since I read the article.
God bless you and your family. May you know the peace and comfort that only God can give.

Very Appropriate. Our prayers are with those in need of God's intervention.
That is so scary, All 3 of my grandkids were early. The twins Blake - 1lb 2oz, Dakota - 1lb 1oz. and there new little sister Riley - 1lb 5oz. The twins are now 10 years old and doing great. Riley is 17 months and is doing great. It take lots of praying but this little one will get there too. I will keep them in my Prayers. God Loves the little childern.

I have worked in the field of Respiratory Care for 35 years and have taken care of hundreds like Ryan through the years. The technology today is unbelievable and keeps advancing every year. I know the ups and downs of Ryan's care very well and can tell you with patience, prayer and love everyone will be just fine. There will be bad days and good days but as time goes along there will be many more good days than bad and before you know it he will be home, and you will not believe how he will catch up once he matures to a certain level. We see miracles here at the NICU at the Universty Hospital every day and don't forget Ryan is in God's loving hands.
Prayers from the Elkins family.
