From what I understand the draw down will occure as reguraly scheduled, in the fall. The work done to raise the road across the dam will not require the lake to be dropped. The problem that they are anticipating is not low water, but high water durring the winter of '06 thru the spring of '07. The work they are doing to the dam itself will not allow them to open the gates to let water out durring this time. This could pose some serious problems for the lakes fish population because the high water in the spring will allow the bass to spawn in areas above what is normally summer pool. Once the repairs are completed and they lower the lake to the normal level it might leave some beds high and dry. Its all about timing next spring as to the success of the spawn.
Keep on chuckin'
