I noticed that you didn't say what kind of fish you were after. I also noticed that one other guy posted a negative comment about your question. I assume he is a tournament fishermen or maybe a pure bass catch and release type of guy as why else would he nix your legitamate question about where to fish. After all this is a fishing discussion forum and the main question that EVERYONE wants to know is where are the fish and what are the hitting today. Right?

So here is an alternative assumption. Maybe just maybe fishforfood is asking about where to catch PANFISH, Catfish or some other species of fish BESIDE Largemouth, SmallMouth or Kentucy Bass?

If you are after crappie or other pan fish then blood river is a good place to fish. You may wish to visit the Kentucy DNR web site and look up the Blood River Crappie Tracking Survey Results. That may give you some good clues as to where the catch the slab crappie in the Blood River Area. Remember you can catch crappie year round if you know where they hang out

Most crappie this time of the year are found out on the ledges in relatively deeper water. Crappie may suspend about 10 to 18ft down below the surface and over deep water. They may still be relating to the ledges but they may not be right close to the ledge. The ledge may be at 18ft and the crappie can suspend out 100 yards from the ledge (horizontally) and then still be at 18 ft below the surface but over 50 ft of water. Try slow trolling though the channel with a spider rigged up boat. Speed of 1 mph to 2 mph work well.
