Anyone use it? I orderd 3 spools from Cabelas, the 8 lb. came in first,It seems strong till you tie any type knot,It breaks like 2lb.I sent the others back. Did I get a bad spool or is it all this weak?
It is 8lb. clear/gold
Thanks

i have been using it exclusivly on all my caro rigs and never lost a fish due to the leader breaking wish i could say the same for gamigatzo hooks but I am pretty anal about retying my knots maybe that is the difference
I've tried Berkley, Stren, Trilene, BPS Excel and have lost fish on all of them. I switched to P-Line about 3 years ago and have not lost a fish on it yet. Just like it was mentioned earlier, this line is almost impossible to break even when you want too. It will always be P-line for me.

i didnt care much for it, not because of line or knot strength,
but rather the stiffness of it. i had a hard time controlling it.
im on board with the bps excel, dang hard to beat for the money.
Same thing for me, have broken off a lot of fish and snags with the Vanish...swore off the stuff.
Vanish = JUNK and Vanish Transition = JUNK
Bass Pro Shops XPS Flourocarbon is the best line out there IMO
Have been using fluro lines for years, all of them work well if you tie the knots properly and qwet them before you draw them up.My favorite ones are seagar, vanish, and bps in that order.
If anyone has Vanish 4-6lb line please send it to me. It works well on the F-n-F...Haven't broken off a fish on it yet.

I have always heard that, with fluorocarbon line, it is important to wet the knot before cinching it down. Apparently if it is not wet it will weaken due to the friction? I do not know, just what I have heard and read.

I stopped using Berkley line 12 years ago. I always had problems with their line and i used all of it. My buddies swear by it, (to each his own i guess). I use the BPS version of Flourocarbon (8lb)on my spinning reels and i love it. I used the polomar knot and have had no complaints either. I'll buy some 12lb for my C-rig leaders next. I still think that for the money BPS Excel is the best out there.......
I used to be a Trilene XT/XL man until I tried P-line. That s$$t is just amazing. When trying to break off w/ 8 lb. line you'd think that it was 15.
I have no luck with any of the P-Line products that I've used. Both the CXX and the Flouroclear have been twisted really, really bad.
