Anyone ever paint a boat?

I have an 89 Stratos 201 pro dc that I absolutly love, I have restored this boat as far as I can. The only thing I would still do is paint it, the finish is just a little dull after all these years. My question is, have any of you guys ever painted a fiberglass boat, what did you paint it with and how difficult is it to do (Keep in mind I'm a Chef)but I am pretty handy. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

did some of this. U probably just need it to be clear coated. This is Gelcoat which has a hardner. That is if ur boat is not solid white. White gelcoat doesnt get a clear coat. Not as easy as it seems to make it shine. I suggest taking it to a shop that can spray it.

HI , I`ve clearcoated a number of those Stratos 201`s and theys turned out pretty slick. For some reason the factory clear doesn`t hold up real well. I`ve got a 86 procraft and its clear still looks like new. If your interested in getting it clearcoated I`d be glad to do it.
