It's been my experience that in early fall, the fish will actually go more shallow rather than deeper as in late fall. However with a front like this one the good bite will likely occur later in the day as it warms up. I look for shad and throw lipless cranks or grubs. But then the fish don't always seem to read the same fishing magazines I do. Front or no, tomorrow I'm tryin' topwater, cranks, tubes, and carolina creature. Hope it is a fall feast day rather than famine.............all that said, I would prefer a good cloudy day without the cold front.
