Wood Creek or Laurel Lake

Coming to London this weekend and ws wondering if anyone has any tips on either of these two lakes. I am looking to fish both. ANy tips would be appresiated. Taking small son first time out on either lake. Any help would be appreciated.

havent been up to wood creek since about july, cant help you there, but laurel has been slow, dont expect much. if you're planning on some night fishing, put in at holly bay and fish for smallies with jigs or plastics on the points, they should be starting to move up some. day light, i'd suggest going up into the river section of the lake, the shad are thick as pea soup and some fish are being caught in the jumps, try a rattletrap or something similar.

fished woodcreek last weekend fishing was slow but have a few good fish on lay downs on buzz bait and some on crank baits. lots of pressure on a small lake.
