hows the bass fishing on cumberland

anyone been lately was thinking about a trip this weekend any news is gonna help lol was gonna go out of cumberland point was would love to get into some smallmouth ?

Was there over the week end and had a good day. Only had 3 keepers, but caught a lot of fish including 10-15 smallies. Crankbait was the key. No jig or tube bites at all. had one 17-inch large and 2 14-inch KY's. Fish points of cuts and the backs of deep cuts, too.

I went fishing for "jumps" last Saturday for stripers without any luck; however, we started to bottom fish on the main lake near the opposite shore from Beaver Creek. We had shinners and we threw them out while eating lunch. We did not catch a single striper trolling,jumps or bottom fishing but we caught nearly 20 lbs of smallmouths that we released. The largest was 5 lbs, (2) 4 lbs, (2) 3 lbs and several smaller ones. All the action took place within a couple of hours. We were surprise of the smallmouth action with the clear, bluebird sky and water temperature about 69.
