Anyone know where I can find some marine plywood in the Louisville, area? Any estimate on prices? Is there anything that I could apply to regular plywood to make it water proof/resistant?
Thanks for any and all help....
Keep on chuckin'

What application to you plan for this plywood? If it's a boat project or something that wont stay wet all the time, you can likely use presure treated ply. Shouldn't be a problem at all. Lowes or Home Depot has all you want!
Use the pressure treated stuff, and add your own additional treatment to ALL cut surfaces.........This works GREAT. Also, make sure you pre-drill any holes, and swab with treatment. Don't use Thomsons, or the other watery type sealants......Use BAER, or something better.
This will GUARANTEE waterproofness for MANY, MANY years. I have refloored some boats, and rebuilt some jon boats using that method.

As I understand it, marine plywood does not have any anti decay/incect additives in it. It is a few specific types of wood that don't expand when wet and a water proof glue is used to hold it together. Other plywoods have the same glue but not the specific type of wood to minimize expansion and delamination of the plywood. I don't think Pressure Treated plywood will resist the expansion if exposed to water on a regular basis. Also need to be concerned about types of fasteners used.
I think a product similar to marine is the MDO plywood. It has a paper finish on one or both sides. It is used to make signs so it is intended for exterior use where it will see water on a regular basis. Local prices here are $50 for 1/2" and $75 for 3/4 4'x 8' sheet.
Like the others said. if you treat with a good sealer you can improve its life.
Just buy pressure treated plywood and then fiberglass it. no water should get to the finished product then
I wouldnt use pressure treated. I believe it only comes in sheathing grades and if attaching to aluminum stringers, i'd be weary of a chemical reaction. I'd use A/C or mdo and give it a coat of fiberglass resin or epoxy on all surfaces and edges.
my 2 cents
