I went the second week of October and the lake was turning over on the state park end of the lake but it was ok up around Beaver. We had hundreds of hits on topwater but they were all too small to eat the bait. So we moved to a clearer portion of the lake and I caught one nice largemouth (6.4 lbs / 23 inches) on a bluff wall. This may have been a fluke but it made all the frustration go away immediately !!! I caught it a noon on a jig in about 12 feet of water.
