Nolin saturday 5/5/05

Fished Nolin on Saturday, Caught several slot fish, three keepers and broke a good one off, Line broke right at the reel, the fish came up trying to shake my spinnerbait loose, oh well. Most of my good bites were on the spinnerbait, Caught a few swimming a texas rigged craw. None on the c-rig. It was a beautiful day, but windy.

Also, I was curious what it took to win the tournament that went out of wax, I believe it was So. Kentucky marine?

Similiar luck with me too. Spent 2 days on Nolin---probably the best 2 days on Nolin I had ever had---as far as numbers--not size. I bet I caught over 100 bass anything from 6 inches to 14 3/4" but not one stinking keeper. Lost a couple on crankbaits---possible keeper or two---not sure. It sure was fun!

Fished Nolin yesterday, very windy but still able to land a slot fish and a few smaller bass and two small stripper. Dad landed a nice walleye. Would have been a great day but it was hard to fish our favorites due to the wind. Made casting a pain in the rear.

18 pounds, holy cow!, I have fished many many tournaments in the past, I didn't fish many this year, because I bought a new home, I don't think I have ever weighed that much, especially at Nolin. Makes me wander if I should start fishing them again next year, or if I should just hand my entry fee over and go bowling or something LOL.

Same team had 3lbs Sunday at Barren and these are two of the best around. That's fishin.

That makes me feel a bit better, although I'd sure like to bring an 18 pound bag in just once, that'd be somethin!
