    If someone wants a perfect rod/reel combo, I would have to say that my #1 pick is a 7'6 shimano "crucial" with a Chronarch 100 sittnig on the butt. Fish it any situation, almost. {remember I said almost}. The worst part of that combo is, you can't find those 100's anymore. They are even my striper rods/reels.

    That's because the old Green Curado's do not exist anymore. 2005 is the last year for the good green reels. In 2006 the cheaper Citica took the price of $119, but seems to be as good as or even better then the older Curado and the new Curado moved up another notch in price----it's a lot higher now. I sure hope the new Shimano's are as good or better then the older ones. The old saying goes---if it isn't broke----don't fix it. The old Curado's 200's and 100's were the best reel for the money anyone could find.
