IMO, I cant understand why boat dealers waste their time bringing those 35 ft bajas to mem. col. I mean honestly who is going to go to rupp in the dead of winter and buy a $150,000 boat. The thing that has frustrated me about the boat show in the last couple years is the lack of educational booths and tackle dealers. You bring an educational fishing seminar or two to this show and the fisherman will be there, and we usually tend to spend money, oh, lets say just about every time we go out. The same concept would apply to pleasure boaters if they needed an education about something boat concerning. If you bring a purpose to the show, then the tire kickers and boat droolers, would be replaced to some extent with serious consumers. I will be there at least once regardless, so I can drool on some boats ;) BUT, if I could catch a seminar and get put in the fishing mood, I would be more apt to purchase anything fishing related that was there. I know a lot of people here share the same opinion, good luck with the show.
