There is a deer quota hunt(firearms) at T-ville Sat and Sunday. You can fish, but beware of flying lead.

For work, I'm going to Lawrenceburg on Friday from Bowling Green. Thought I might drag my boat and fish Taylorsville on the way back Saturday. I have never been on this lake and would appreciate any help. Best place to put in, related websites, generally where to bass fish, navigational no-no's, etc. Like I said, I know nothing, so anything would help. Thanks.

lol go to a lake that has some bass in it
You would better off going to Barren river than fish the dead sea.Taylorsville pretty much shuts down in the cold air and water temps, Barren is on fire
Well then........so far I'm not too excited about Tville. Barren is my home lake and I love it this time of year but I was gonna be in the area so I thought I might try Tville out. From the posts so far, I think I'd be better off getting up earlier and driving home to fish Barren.
Any tips on fishing Barren ??? I am planning to drive down Saturday morning and fish it for the first time. Any tips on where to launch or navigational tips would be helpful

hey man the crappie are hitting below the dam. use minnows and 3 foot deep. try to fish right side in the wider end. i goin tommorow but i did catch 25 last weekend and my buddy caught alot last feb so i would think the water goin to change much so they should hit. if the wind isn't that rough i think u could catch them on the lake
