    Dave Stewart,

i've been on this site for a couple of years now and i'd like to commend you on simply the way you handle yourself. you come across as a very humble man and that speaks volumes to me. i will definitely come down to the boat show and would love to learn more about your strategy for locating fish. i imagine you will probably have quite a few folks from fishin.com coming down to see you, so you might want to get a portable microphone. thanks again for always being a class act. looking forward to meeting you.

    RE: Lexington Boat Show

Just remembered something from the post you made about the Bassmaster University classes where you said they never taught you anything about how to find the fish....plan on spending some time with me at the show and I will sit down with you and show you how to do that or at least increase your odds of doing so by a whole bunch. This is not something a person can stand up on the tank and teach in a 30 minute timeframe....but since I will be there the entire time I don't mind sitting down with you and teaching a little bit about this from my point of view...it works for me.

Dave, Have you ever thought about doing a seminar on how to find fish? Maybe you should think about doing one on your own.
I would gladly pay to set in one of this type.

David: I actually teach this on some of my guide trips. Especially the lake familiarization trip I do and also the trip I do teaching folks how to locate and fish ledges. We actually start those trips out with a class. You might be interested in taking one of them. You see I do different types of guided trips..not just lets go out and try to catch some bass. I do those type trips also (I call them "fun trips") and even then I make an effort to teach but on the aforementioned trips we are more focused on learning than on trying to catch a lot of fish...I enjoy all type trips I do but there is a lot of satisfaction when I take someone out on a pure learning trip and then get feedback from them later that their fishing has improved as a result of what they learned from our trip. I certainly don't think I know everything..we all have our approaches to finding and catching fish....what I teach is a result of many years on the water with a lot of folks and my observations from those experiences.

I guess I could do a class like you mentioned but it certainly is better if we can do the class and then go on the water to emphasis what we talk about in class.

P.S. If you are coming to the Lexington Boat Show I don't mind at all sitting down with you and going over what I offered Buzz. That goes for any of you folks.

By the way maybe I should mention here that I am not at the show to sell anything so don't think if you come up and talk to me I will be trying to sell you something. I am not allowed to sell anything at the show and actually have no desire to do so. Obviously the company I work for is sponsored by various folks and I will mention them...which is no problem since I personally use a lot of their products...but I won't be trying to get you to get out your wallet and buy something from me...and even if you do get out your wallet I will tell you that I can't sell anything to you.

    DavidP...

    Hey David,

You would be doing yourself a great service talking with Dave Stewart.

I took one of his trips, and had a great time, and learned a lot from him. I was able to take what he taught me and put it to good use on a completely different lake!! To me, this was a great help. I went to Green River Lake and used his teachings, and was able to find fish on my very first spot!!

Good luck, and listen carefully, he is very helpful.

    Danny
