Great technique that will produce bites in tough times. I would recommend the Spotsticker jighead. They offer several different types of setups to meet exactly the type of fishing you are doing. It really depends on how deep you are fishing, are you fishing for LM/SM/Spots, and what type of cover you are fishing.

For most applications, a 3/16 or 1/4 oz. head paired up with a finesse worm will work.
