    RE: NIGHTTIME LURE SELECTION

Hard to top the other post but I'll offer a few thoughts. Although I throw a spinnerbait, jig, or worm 90% of the time at night crank baits can be effective too. I used to fish them regularly on KY lake -- especially on moon lit nights and do quite well. To me the trick is to determine what kind of mood the fish are in on any given night. If they are active they will hit spinners and cranks more readily and tend to be shallower but if not you have to fish slower (jigs/worms) and deeper. I too like darker lures especially on dark nights but sometimes in bright moonlight I will use bright colored spinners/cranks with good success. Like fishing during the day there are no set rules at night. The best advice I can give is get out there and start experimenting. If nothing else fishing at night sure beats roasting in the mid-day sun!

    RE: NIGHTTIME LURE SELECTION

i do not think it is all in what you throw it is in where you are at. Still trow a spinnerbait and jig i do not think you need much more. but you have to pattern them just like during the day.
