I think the biggest problem your having is the dealers/mechanics your taking it too. Take it over to Hall Marine (Mitch Hall) in Owensboro, KY. He is a top notch Mercury mechanic and has been for years.

I've owned 5 Mercs now and never had any major problems. Any small problem I've had Mitch has been all over it.
