    Looking for recommendations

I will be staying at my uncle's place near Carlisle for several days. I might be able to use a jon boat but otherwise I will be fishing from shore with my 13 year old nephew. I was thinking about the kentucky river dam near Winchester or Elkhorn near Cynthiana (used to sell cell phones there at walmart) or maybe the south fork or licking near Cynthiana. Which of these sounds like the best bet? Is it difficult to get permission to wade the rivers, I will only have one vehicle for sure.

    Thanks

    RE: Looking for recommendations

if you must wade or bank fish I would stick to elkorn, it produces fish all summer but if you can find a way to get your hands on a john boat I would either find my way to stoner creek or lake carnico. If you a serious basser and looking for big momma I can try to point you in the right direction on carnico or if you just want to catch a ton of fish you can kill them on stoner creek, all species.
