A friend and I are thinking about fishing Green River between Crokus Creek and Burkesville.
Anynody fished Green River lately?
Any ideas on what baits and tackle to use?
Any thing we need to know before we go?

I've not fished that area, but I have fished the green river through Muhlenberg County. If there are any similarities, you may want to down size your offerings. I found grubs and smaller crankbaits were best. I also caught one fish, and got a couple of bites on lizards.
Good luck,
PS, use a jig and pig!!! Best bite of the day was on that. Also, we only fished for maybe 2 hours at most. We spent a lot of time just seeing the river, and were waiting for my trailer to be fixed. Once fixed, had to go, but am planning more trips.
Tight lines and God Bless

The Cumberland River runs between Crocus Creek and Burkesville, not the Green River. Which river are you planning on fishing?
Sorry about that. We are definately talking the Cumberland River. I had some brain flatulence this morning.
You may want to re-post with the correct river name. There are a lot of people who fish that section of the river (I haven't yet this year) but may pass up your post because of the "Green River" label.
Thanks ARJ - Will do
