RE: Basscenter gets the AXE!
I brought up making a circuit with divisions. Top 75 or 100 in points would make the championship. You could do it a million different ways. $500,000 could turn into 1 mil. or more if you combined sponsers. Not like I would get to fish it but it would make for a better tv showing.

RE: Basscenter gets the AXE!
Are Bill Dance and Hank Parker still producing television shows?

RE: Basscenter gets the AXE!
They are most likely unhappy with the size of thier viewinmg audiance. If they were really tuned in to the bassin industry they would know that most of thier audience is on the water at that time on Saturday. The ESPN corporate underwriters have not got a clue about the bass fishing industry or our wants. If they did they would not show all the programs on Saturday morning but would air them on Friday night or some other evening time slot, I got tired of getting up at 5 AM during the week to see the shows,Fish2win

RE: Basscenter gets the AXE!
I did my research---but he was talking about the here and now---not what was paid out years ago. True,FLW did pay higher amounts in the past---but that was in the past. I don't really care, I like both organizations and have been a member of both for many many years.
One thing is for sure---CHANGE---it's the only thing that is constant. Sometimes, change isn't all that bad. Guess we'll sit back and watch what happens.

RE: Basscenter gets the AXE!
Have to agree with you Devil Horse. I didn't really mind Basscenter too much and some of the Charlie Moore episodes are OK, but to tell the truth, I would rather do a lot of things other than watch TV on Saturday mornings. I get tired of watching tourney coverage because is has become a contest of one-upsmanship on trash talk and show boating. I may be a little old school, but where's Mark Davis and David Fritz when you need em?

Did someone suggest KVD to FLW?
I doubt that he would do that. He is an ESPN darling, and he gets the video focus and exposure that was promised to all anglers.
Plus, nothing against KVD, he's one heck a fisherman, but he does better in tournaments with limited fields. Look how he handled the E50s and how much better he has done in this year's majors, plus how well he does in the 102 angler field vs. what he did in the 200 plus fields. He did well in both, he seems to be the one true dominant force, but I think he excells in the smaller field sizes.
Just my opinion and 2¢ worth.

RE: Did someone suggest KVD to FLW?
Are your meds working????? KVD missed or actually got dq'ed one whole tournament and he is now tied for 4th for the year and there is only two tournaments left. On the other note, anybody that is good in a certain field will always do better if there is less competition. That is just simple math--not that KVD is better in smaller groups---LOL!!! Sorry,I just thought that was kind of funny.
His own peers call him the best---what does that say?

RE: Did someone suggest KVD to FLW?
LMAO
Come on Mark..... let a guy have some fun!!
KVD can out fish me in his sleep!!!
But the truth is, he excells the best in smaller fields. He is awesome, no question about that.
Actually, I am pulling for KVD to pull out the AOY. I think that would be awesome that an angler would win the AOY without fishing one of the events and receiving a zero for that event.
The reason I was so upset about my trailer being broken for so long was because I wanted to follow KVD down there at the KY BASS event. I just wanted to watch him fish. I have friends who have followed him, and they say it is amazing to watch him fish. Not a wasted movement, just a machine. And they said you would have to see it to believe it, but he can make 3 casts to an ordinary fisherman's one cast. I so wanted to watch him up close.
Oh well, there's next year..... oppps, BASS won't be back next year. LOL
Tight lines and God Bless

RE: Basscenter gets the AXE!
Ok i'll admit it, i do like Beat Charlie Moore. I'm an avid fisherman 1-3 times a week even more in the spring time. I also liked Basscenter but then again i never expected cutting edge topics or coverage. I enjoyed the show for what it was, nothing more. Charlie Moore is just funny to me.

RE: Basscenter gets the AXE!
