I Bass fished it for years, but usually in Oct/Nov. Switched over to Crappie fishing it about 10yrs ago, or so (just after the size limit went up to 18" on Smallmouth) and now fish it exclusively for Crappie (Apr/May-Oct/Nov). Early Sept should find the LMB still shadowing Shad schools, and the SMB still out on the deep channels. That's just an educated guess, though. I do know that when they're pulling water ... the Bass are more active. With water temps in the 90deg range ... I'd expect to fish the shaded banks, until the shade was gone - then go to the deep drops or channel ledges. But, I can't guarantee that to be the right thing to do, either ... LOL!! .......... cp
