Yep, you can use your trolling motor just raise your big motor up. I had the game warden inform me of that before on that lake. Seems some guys will use their big motor when not in sight of the ramp. I was also told that you can use your big motor to put the boat on the trailer but i would ask first. I love this lake, keepers can be hard to come by but the action is usually good on the non keepers. I hope you like to fish grass!

This lake is developing really well after the Department got rid of the Gizzard Shad. The bluegill and shellcrackers were always fairly good, but they are already seeing SOME 11 inchers there. Bass are coming along as well. Crappie were always stunted before. NOW they are getting to a good enough size or around 10 to 12 inches.
Spraying is keeping the weeds down.. though I really preferred the darn carp to a point.
Beaver at one time was second only to Barren and Kentucky Lake in catch rate based on hours fished. I believe it will hit that rate again before long.
This will eventually be a great Bluegill and Shellcracker lake.

    RE: fished beaver lake

I fished beaver about 2 weeks ago and they've sprayed so much down there the grass is nearly gone.

    really hated to see that.
I remember years ago when they had the grass crap in there and no grass it was really hard to catch a fish.

some people like grass, some people don't.

myself i wish we had grass in all the lakes.

No use of any motor over 10 hp past over head guide wire by Marina. You can use big motor to load and unload boats only... Marina said you can use Big motor in "EMERGENCY" situation only if needed....But better be emergency...get my drift he said....

Small fish, but plenty of them....
