cumberland river

anyone been on cumberland river lately we went back on the 3rd of july got skunked only saw one fish landed all day and we were around several other boats and everyone was having bad luck, the river was falling fast I do not know if this was the problem or not. so if any one has been in the last few weeks let us know what up and what worked for you. Even you don't get a strike theres no place like that river early in the morning mist, if Heavens got a fishing hole I hope it is like the river. Makes you wonder why we want to develope all the land so fast. If your soul needs recharging head out to the Cumberland about day break find a spot where you are alone and just stand in the mist and breath. If you got a pulse that will charge your battery.

Was there the same weekend as you...sure was slow. We couldn't even get a follow on artificial. Started bumping nightcrawlers along the bottom and manage a limit plus 3 slot fish. Fish started rising in the afternoon...when we had to leave of course. We seem to allways do ok with crawlers even if the conditions are not ideal. We have done the best when the water is coming up slowly...seems to turn them on.
