You lucky guy! That sounds like a really good time! Did you float or wade?

Sunday afternoon 8/13.
Water still has a bit of a stain. It's up some and moving very quickly, but I'll take that any day over the ankle-deep stuff we've had lately. Don't know water temp, but it sure felt a lot better than the bath water it's been recently.
We caught about 20 bass, and almost as many LM as SM. The LM were as tight to wood cover or rocks as they possibly could have been, but the SM were out in the deeper current--sometimes dead in the current where you might not expect them to be.
Saw absolutely no activity, nor did we get any bites, in any of the sloughs. You had to have current nearby.
Finished the day with a 6+ cat on a chartreuse/brown rooster tail. Maybe she'll be 8 next year.

Waded. Water was cool enough to, er, get your attention, so to speak, when you reached certain depths.
Nice report. Had some friends go Sunday and do pretty well in the colored water. Falling stained water will produce real well after a long dry spell.
JCB, we are having our fall GetToGather Oct5-8 at Stillwaters. Stop by and see us,
Billy
Hey, sounds great. I'll put it on my calendar, thanks for the invite, Billy.
