Went to Cumberland last saturday night and it was a strange trip. First we were throwing a buzzbait(white) right before it got dark.Caught 4 fish. Then we switched to a colorado spinner bait(black&blue, black&purple) at dark. Didn't catch the first fish not even a hit.Then we switched to a worm(red shad,blue fleck)backed the boat out in 35 feet of water.No hits close to the bank. Fish were hitting the worm in 35 feet of water and hitting hard set the hook nothing.Tried waiting on the fish to take the worm nothing.I thought small fish,but the tails on the worms wasn't tore off.Got a good hook set and got it to the boat came off. What did we do wrong. Couldn't get a good hook set at all. Thanks for your time.
