i'm going this weekend to look at a boat that owner says needs carpet. just looking for some general best guesses here, but how much would it cost to recarpet a 19'6" boat. also does anyone know someone who does that near elizabethtown.

I just changed my carpet last year myself on a 18 footer instalation is not bad but removing the old carpet is a royal pain in the a$$ but it only cost me about a $100.00 bought the carpet at Lowes now that its over ill say it looks pretty good.
I just carpeted my newly added deck extension for $12, looks great, don't know what it would cost to have it done but carpet is pretty cheap
where do you get a good grade boat carpet kyle?
I actually got mine at a hole in the wall carpet store in the home town Im from. Apparently a lot of carpet stores carry it, its nice too.
I looked around for good boat carpet and the best i could find was from marinecarpets.com in florida. I looked on the sale page and got a 25' x 6' roll plus instructions and a carpet kife and blades and shipping for $175.00 It was the good 20oz carpet. put it in myself and am very happy with the results.

Hi, I do boat carpet for a living plus other things but a good grade of carpet will run you around 150 for that size boat. I`ll install it for you for 300.00 and it will look just like it did when it was new. I`ve done Dave Stewerts boat and others on here. I live in Shepherdsville so i`m not far. But if you do it yourself if you need any help just give me a call.

ok Doug if i buy this boat i'm calling you about the carpet. that's plenty cheap enough to give to someone else to do. thanks man i appreciate that.
Doug is a staight up guy and will do you a good job. He did some work on my boat and I have yet to have a problem and have been in Dave's boat after he did it and it looked great. Doug will take care of you with no problems.
What is the best way to make your boat carpet look somewhat new again? I don't have any stains or anything like that it just seems to be all flat and could probably use a good cleaning? Is it wise to steam clean it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I've sprayed Wesley's Bleach White (used on tires) and then used a scrub brush and hosed down. Really perked up my old carpet.
Doug did and excellent job on my carpet and I would not hesitate to have him do it again when the time comes.
