Glad to see you back. I've been worried about you. I've asked Jim several times about you, since I hadn't seen you on the board. I was afraid maybe you had some more health problems. Glad to see you back...and by the way, Jim really sang your praises in regard to your charity tourney and all that you did.

Folks, Rodney also has proved to be honest and trustworthy. He's not ever led me astray, except maybe with Barren's reputation...LOL... sorry Rodney, could not let that slide.

For everyone else, I'm horrible on Barren and Rodney is great. I like to rib him about the lake.... all in fun of course.

I hope this situation might work out for you guys. Perhaps if the SOKY marine guys see this on the web, maybe they will honor their committment.

Not justifying anyone's actions, but it's always wise to get a signature or documentation for things like this.

Danny I am OK not good but considering all the problems i am OK .

Fishergurl I or we have learned a lesson. we will get a signature next time cause a mans word isn't what it use to be.
Rest assured if its my word i will stand behind it as would devils horse some of us still stand behind our word and a hand shake.\
It is a shame really cause I wont go back in there and most of our club won't and I am encouraging every body i know to not shop there of deal with them.

Well, I wasn't just talking about a person's word being good. I also think it's good to get it in writing because it helps prevent misunderstandings of the agreement.

its pretty sad in this day and age when you can't take a man for his word or a hand shake. the only one to suffer is the charity. i for one will never step foot in this dealer again! even if they make it right they probaly wouldn't have if not for the bad publicity. this is why this board is a awesome tool for the fisherman. things like this should be aired to the public. tight lines

I would urge someone who is looking to buy a boat from SOKY to use extreme caution. Last year when I was going to purchase my first boat he tried to pull one over on me. I won't go into detail unless it will prevent someone from being burned and i am not saying don't do business with them - I am just saying use caution.

On the other hand, there service department has been more than helpful with a quick turn around so I use them over BG marine (where I bought my boat)
