He may be calm and cool on those creek fish, but he can get plenty excited with those big stripers on his homemade baits!!:P

Made an attempt to outrun the storm on Saturday with ole APB. He took me to one of his favorite little spots. We got in the water about 7:45am. I threw my hare jigs, he brought a small handmade topwaters.
He whooped me pretty good with that thing. I have to express again his patience. I cannot bring myself not to jerk with the fish blows up on it. He's calm, cool, and hooking up. There were several fish that would hit it at least three times.
The water was low. We caught a lot of fish. Here's a couple of pictures. I lucked out and big fished him, but he caught several more keepers that I did. It was fun to watch that little bait.

It's easier to let the cat out of the bag than put it back in:-) :-)

Thanks Fishincreek, I know I can always count on you. That crank we've been catching them on in the creek is the same as the one you saw me catching stripers on earlier this year, but a little smaller in size. btw, you figure out how to download photos from your digital camera yet :+
Andrew
Nice job guys. Makes me want to get out and wade again. We have a creek in Fayette county(maybe on the border of Jessamine) that looks alot like that area. I know it's tough to tell but this creek is what popped into my mind when i checked out the pics.
Son to be here Sat_ I will twist his arm to show me how. I will say you still look great in the photos(fish doesn't look bad either)}(
Good job Billy and Andrew, nice lookin brown bass. That water looked good in those pictures, keep up the good work, tight lines Mark.
Nice brownfish Billy. Thanks for the post and pics.
Nice report.
Just before, and during a front is often the best time to be on the creek.
JCB
JCB,
Maybe we can work out a day to go next week? Call me and we'll try again...
BJE,
Let's go Sat morn.
Billy
If he is not up for it, give me a yell. You know it doesn't take much arm twisting to get me to go!
Andrew
Andrew,
I was actually thinking about taking you, me, and him to another place for some experimenting if you'd like to try it Sat morning..New water for you.
