    RE: They're still not low

I still don't consider them low. They're just not as high as they were.

I honestly think it's all part of a larger plan by the oil companies. Prices were artificially inflated to get people accustomed to gas pushing $3 per gallon. They left them that way for awhile and collected record profits until public and governmental outcry became too loud.

At this point they slowly begin to lower prices back down, but still MUCH higher than they were.

Just two years ago gas was about $1.69 per gallon. Now they've got us thinking that $2.40 is a good price.

If people are thinking $2.40 is a good price, mission accomplished for them.

    RE: They're still not low

I totally agree with with you guys think think 2.39 is not cheap. 1.50 would be cheap. November is coming up, the war is going lousy, . They have to have something to campaign on this election. I guess they can create a few foiled terroists threats!! Anyway, 2.39 is better than 3.00 but it's by far not cheap. Like the one guy said, they get you conditioned to it. They have been doing that same thing for a couple years now. Raise it reall high for a couple months then lower it a tad and people say, "that's cheap". When are people going to finally have enough?
