I've heard this lake gets quite a bit of pressure on it...But you also have to remember this was a holiday weekend too.

Spent about 6 hours on the lake today and did o.k. no keepers but a few nice ones. I am amazed at the amount of boats, this lake gets hammered! Water color was great for flipping jigs and plastics.

My son and I fished Cedar Creek yesterday,(9-3-06) Got 1 fish in the boat lost 2 and was surprised at how few boats were on the lake. :-)
Yeah the few anglers on the water we talked with said the same thing....saturday was not very busy.
This is my first trip back since the swimming beach was made and i never realized how small it would be.
I also remember huge stretches of moss around the trees and massive weed beds which looks alot different now. I guess this is part of the aging process of the lake that we were told about?
We also fished Cedar today. One keeper Bass with 3 short fish. If the crappie ever come on in this lake it's going to look like Jonathan Creek in the Spring time.

Fished Cedar Creek also yesterday. We caught about 10 fish, no keepers. Tons of boats, also saw many boats with 4 people fishin out of them. Saw some morons flying through the channels. Once some of the timber breaks off and starts floating a fellow could set up a lower unit shop and probably clean up on repairs.
Scouted some places to F-n-F. Found a few good spots, just have to see what holds wihen the water cools off.
But SLOW DOWN on that lake. No need to see a 200hp planed up flying.

Hmmmmm...."Splitshot's Lower Unit Repair and Truck Accessories" LOL!
No bigger than it is, the couple times I've fished it I never saw the need to run that fast on it either.
That might be an interesting little lake to try the float-n-fly on. I had never really considered that there.
Plan on going this Thursday the 7th. There is no HP limit there, right? Just wondering, after reading Billy's post. Is it idle speed only? Only two people per boat? No seriously, just kidding around. I do run on plane ( not full speed) until I get to where I want to fish. No different running Cedar than running Cumberland in late winter and early spring (high water) with all the trash floating there. I've had some good luck on Junebug Yum 4 inch tubes pegged 5/16 weight in the DEEP cedars this time of year. see ya'll on the water.
