If only something like this could have happened for military personnel returning from Vietnam.......

If one of them shows up and wants in my boat he's more than welcome. For that matter, any vet's welcome in my boat. Those hippies that disrespected the VN vets aren't around in these parts. If they are, they're either teaching at some college where nobody listens to them or sticking their heads in the sand. Screw'em.
"Bump" for the original purpose of this thread.

Thanks for the kind words guys. It was a different world that we came home to back then. The people I went to school with wouldn't even talk to me. But, hey, that was a long time ago. I'm so glad to see that we respect the men and women coming home now, even if we don't agree with the policies that sent them there.

Thanks Danny. Hope you can show up. I have to go to a wedding that night, but will see if they have somebody there who'll be okay with only fishing until about noon or 1 pm.
as i said in the previous post my brother was in the 101st and was in iraq. i've started working on him about this idea and he doesn't seem to like the idea very much right now. he's still not dealing with the whole war thing very well. post traumatic stress syndrom, bad. he lives right down the road from paris landing. i mean literally 3 miles from it so maybe that will help. if he does say he will go, is there anything that can be done with fishing licenses? honestly i'm not sure about paying for a one day license. you may have already addresses this i didn't read the whole post, but if you haven't let me know. thanks
