    RE: Matt

Look forward to next season and I like the sounds of the college version, maybe see some the ol boys off here in it. Tell the ref to ease up on the whistle just a little bit, he is killing my boy Ike LOL. Just wondering, are all his calls legit or some of them just to get under certain people's skin. Seems the ones with all the penalties are the same people over and over.

I will definitely watch the college but have my doubts?? I would prefer to see more of the pro's. I would also add that on satelite I hope they give a description of who is on the show ahead of time. It would be a letdown(IMO) to wait for the show to come on and see the college thing. I am kicking it before it even airs...shame on me,really(sorry)

Thanks Plapps for your part in UMF.

you think the pros do a lot of smack talkin just put me and art_carney on the boat for some CMF, that would be good fun eh scott, lol. And don't knock the college guys, you may not believe me when I say it but there are SOME guys in the college circuit that could compete at any level, trust me, I'm not one of them, but they're out there

    Matt,
What is the relationship between college bassfishing and UMF? Is there a relationship between UMF and the Bass Federation? Thank you, Don

I guess I was knocking them a little. I will watch the college UMF 1/2x and see what I think. I do enjoy the UMF shows and like them very well. The only thing I think is a little overboard is the referee thing but the show doesn't really dwell on it.

I do truly hope I enjoy the college UMF but I have my doubts. As far as them competing at any level??? They do have a huge learning advantage in this day with all of the tools(internet, mags, video, etc) available so I think the curve is shorter than it was. If I was a gambler though I would take my chances with more pro's than college guys.

O I would too but there are some guys out there that can whack them. I found that out the hard way in arkansas, top two or three college teams would have destroyed the pro field tourney goin on right up river, and those guy got three days practice, we only had one. I would have to agree with the tools available to us now days the learning curve is alot shorter too, I have come leaps and bounds in the last two years. I have been talking with the guys doing the UMF and they are pretty excited about the CMF, I think it will go great.

no doubt there are some that can. I remember KVD when he hit the pro circuit and before that he dominated local/regional tournaments. Still dominates today.

I truly hope the show is a success and I will be watching.
