lol, I have not seen any fish over 20"in taken out "legally" However I have seen some 16-17" fish taken out by people who claimed they were 20". And I definately do not think they are "too many" fish over 20 inches.

definetly raise the size limit! with the pressure that lake receives, taken out legally or illegal, i don't think it will be able to stand the pressure over time.i've heard of some people putting the knife to some of those 20" fish!:-(

How about we catch and release ALL LM BASS at Cedar Creek. That sounds like the best plan to me. Put the knife in a catfish, crappie or bluegill.

I fished CC twice this year and we caught 3 over 20" and lost one that was very likely over 20". DYNATRAK, that fish was over 20", right?... I fear the pressure will hurt CC soon enough. It's sad but true. I wish they would have been able to make that lake 3X larger.

How about seeing that big smallie coming out of CC!!! That's too cool. I think I would have nearly lost my rod and reel out of SHOCK to that fish when it first jumped!!!

over 20 was right, smljaw. look, the bottom line on cedar creek (as is with all bodies of fishable water) is that unless law enforcement sets a precedent by fully enforcing the laws on the book already, we're gonna always have this problem with people removing illegal fish. i've probably fished cedar creek a good 100 times since it has opened and i have only seen fish/wildlife officer out there once. that's not saying they're not doing their jobs, just that i haven't seen them. then again, i fish during the week, rarely on the weekends.

i say set a size limit, slot limit, whatever. BUT, HAMMER THE PEOPLE WHO BREAK THE LAW AND MAKE AN EXAMPLE OUT OF THEM.

    just my 2 cents.

smljaw, give me a call and let's hit a creek somewhere...

I'll be happy to release them if I can ever learn how to catch them in the first place!!:o
