WAS WONDERING WHAT THE FISH ARE DOING AT GREEN RIVER LAKE

Fished all day Friday and about 3 hours Saturday. Water slightly stained, 80 to 82.4 degrees.
Fish appeared to be hanging over flats in the +/- 20' range. Got skunked on anything big and caught about 20 crappie on minnows. They were all too small to keep.
Talked to 3 other boats and they were also having trouble getting any bites.
I fish there often and normally nail the crappie. I think the late full moon had them feeding up at night. So it was slow during the day. Who knows?

Our club fished at Green yesterday and we sure didn't hurt em. One guy (BabyHuey on fishin.com) had a limit of legal fish and the rest of us had one or 2 apiece. Tough bite and dicey weather. I had a 2.6 LM and few dinks finessing a tube all day. BH got most of his limit finessing a crawfish.
About 8 in the am I saw a nice little keeper laying on a gravel bank, and tossed a #5 shadrap well past him down the bank. As I cranked it back, the bait didn't get within 10ft of him before he shot out of sight. I figured for bit on how a 2 pound bass could be freaked by the smallest crank I ever throw, then I put all my bubba stuff away and picked up my spinning rod.
We all got checked by the game warden, a couple of boats got checked twice. First time I've been checked in a long time.
BabyHuey asleep in his truck in the Area 1 parking lot before the rest of us got there Sunday morning got woke up when his truck shook a little. Some drunk dude on a moped was rummaging in his attached boat when he opened the door and asked him what he was doing. Startled drunk dude promised he wasn't trying to steal anything and beat a hasty retreat. The authorities told BH the Area 1 parking lot was a known party spot for folks that prefer same gender love interests. The rest of the guys kidded him about that, but me being the sensitive guy I am would never do anything like that.
