    Food Source Lures

I am curious if anyone has used a "Food Source" lure yet? They are fabricated with protein with heavy scents of anise and licorice and fish can actually digest the bait. I am not sure if they are out on the market yet.

We do carry them and I've heard some really good responses. The product is actually 100% natural food and according the North Carolina Food and Drug Administration they are "Beneficial when digested by fish". I think it's going to be a big hit once the word gets out. We'd had them in stock since March 2006

Um not to be a smart aleck but it is dead and in a form that is not the bait. Like dried minnows or minnows stored in some kind of preservative. It also has artificial flavor added to it.
    That would be my response.

Jim, that was basically my exact thought too, but then thought about the tournaments I've fished and their rules. Everyone of them that have extensive rules specifically give an exemption to pork trailers. That makes me wonder. I'm not familiar with this bait.

Are they natural baits made from real bait fish or crawfish? Or are they totally synthetic, yet digestable?

    Thanks for the answers.

    RE: Food Source Lures

I've been reading the website, thanks. But it still doesn't show or say what they are made from, and I certainly didn't think they would give away their secrets. However, if they are made out of bait fish or any other type of natural food, I think they will be either have to get an exemption the way pork trailers do, or they will be banned.

I just wish I had the money to have them analized to see what is it they are made from.

    RE: Food Source Lures

You are using a direct live bait product, not a processed product. YEAH I KNOW you processed it in a Food Processor... Ok..
I think we are ALL overthinking this one. Can not possibly cabin fever is it Summer Fever from not fishing lakes cause its too hot.. or is it that we have not gone fishing because of Gas Prices.. LOL
