Trout for bait????

You can buy shad at bait shops all day long it's quite legal.

Trout is a game fish and can't be used for bait. As for shad you need to put a light out on a dock for several hours and when the shad school up around it toss a casting net on them. Shad in the bait shops are about a dollar a piece. Also they can die very easily. Hope that helped ya.
