What size jig do you make most and color?
1/4 3/8 1/2 3/4
dont let people fool you black will work 99% of the time even if the water is gen clear
although green pumpkin is a good color the fish see less black in clear water so that is what i throw. once in a blue moon i will throw green pumpkin
can make any color jig but black works most of the time
1 Elkins Jigs and Punisher Hair jigs Black, Brown or Olive
2 Net Bait or Zoom Chunks Black or Brown
3 No paticular choice
4 Zoom Baby Brush Hogs Watermelon Seed
5 Culprit Red Shad Or Crawdad
6 Vanish Flouro or Stren Clear Blue Flourescent
and just to throw it in its hard to beat those bandit cranks (red craw in the spring and white or shad color in the fall)
1. Jigs: Lazer eye blood red series or booyah jigs are what I use most. I also use a generic jig, off a card from my local bait shop. I have every color under the rainbow, I use a black jig and skirt with either a green or blue mylar added to the black rubber most of the time. all my jigs have rattles or I add them if they don't
2. Trailers Zoom Jumbo Chunks, I use pumpkin with red fleck or black with blue fleck most of the time, but white and chartruse are always on hand
3. Spinners: Terminators white & Chartruse gold or silver willows
4. Plastic Creature baits: I like Yamomato Creatures in pumpkin, and black, I have started throwing the little brush hogs on carolina rigs and have been pretty happy with the results, red shad & Pumpkin mostly
5. Worms Zoom trick worms & Lizards, I mostly use a june bug or cinamon raisin color. In the Lizards I like the black with chartruse tails
6. Fishing line Spinning reels I use 8 lbs Berkley Transitions, bait casters I throw 30lbs PLine Florcaron, unless I am throwing topwater then I throw 15 pline which does not sink like the florcarbon line.
#1 Stanley 3/8 either blk/blue or gr. pumkin with tips dipped in red
#2 Zoom chunks matching the jig, often dipping the ends red or chart.
#3 3/8 Stanley wedge in Tenn. Shad or wh/chart.
#4 Zoom Baby Brush Hog in Watermelon Candy
#5 6" Zoom U-tail in Watermelon Candy(unless I'm targeting KY's and I throw a smke/purple Cabin Creek Saturn IV, which I believe they discontinued)
#6 Trilene 12# Photocromic. (Big Game now, they keep changing the name.
