Ky River Look Out

We caught 4 SM, 3 LM, 1 Drum, and had something snap(cut) the line(Musky or Flathead) in about 1 hour on the River. I never in my life caught 4 smallies on the River before.

I'll be spending more time there for sure.

No pic's. I dunked my camera later that day in the float tube on the creekx(

We were in the Steele Branch pool. I'll be hitting it again this weekend. Hopefully both days. I have a lot of scouting to do before our fall Rodeo.

The smallies were about 8-11 inches. We had 2 keeper LM. But we marked a lot of fish on this particular bank. I hope to find a few more banks like that.

A partner and I have had limits the last 3 sundays on the Lawrencburg pool. Been a good mix of largemouth, smallmouth , and kys.. Try small spinner baits around down timber on rocky banks. Jigs and tubes working also. There's nothing better than a peaceful day on the river,haven't seen over 2 boats any time.

I want to run the river during the rodeo, but need to get my butt out there to do a little scouting too...if I can ever get un-sick. :(
