Jimbo the place you are talking about may or may not be open anymore, talking about the motel. I've stayed there and it's extremely expensive for what it is, but I do know it's really sruggling too so therefore if it's open he may be inclined to come off the high horse a bit on price. For those that asked about parking a boat there, yes there is plenty of room for that.

Not trying to be a pest, but do you think that this will happen or has the idea cooled off. Will be fishing somewhere all winter anyway, but would love to be there if it happens. I know it takes work to put things together and no matter what group it is (Lions Club, etc.) there always seems to be the same group of people that can make things happen. I am in Knoxville, but if there is anything I can do please just shout.

I'll help keep this at the top, but I won't pin it up there. The posts that have been pinned, and gotten this long, seemed to generate a lot of email about posters being confused. Can't explain that, just what has happened.

I always thought we had more eastern guys here posting, and it has been suggested that an eastern get together would have more participation, but so far it seems it is losing momentum. Maybe it has more to do with the cold weather? I know you put up pics of your fishing last year with over 4 inches of snow on the front deck, but I know I'm no cold weather fisherman. LOL Call me a "young cat" all you want...LOL

I have already gotten a lot of feedback from some folks. But we seem to be getting no feedback from the orginator. Not trying to call Jim out, but some of us would be more than happy to help.

GriderHill would better accommodate folks wishing to spend the night from either a Fri-Sun Sat-Sun ect,ect. Now if there's a minimal amount of folks needing rooms then the Wolfecreek area would be better suited.


Can we get one more head count for those just wanting to fish one day....

I will be there for one day.

We pin topics all the time on the Creek Bank and almost evry other board in the world pins stuff as well. Don't see it as a problem.

Sorry Billy, can't explain it, only what I've heard from Peter about the email he gets when there is a long thread pinned at the top and the confusion it causes.

I'm sure Jim will come back to this. I just realize he is busy right now worrying about what is going on with his "antis" in Michigan, and on the discussion board he has indicated he may run for office. I'm sure he just has too many irons in the fire right at this moment, but he will turn his attention back to this.

LOL... good luck guys. You schedule a late spring or summer trip on Cumberland or D.H. (no, that is not devilshorse, no matter what he hopes) and if I can afford the trip, I'd love to try it.
