    Storms

Hope everyone is okay today. We had one drowning here in the Nicholasville area when a woman tried to cross high water in her truck and overturned.
Some of my favorite fishing creeks are way up. I haven't heard anything about area lakes.
    More rain expected.

    Stay dry,
    Norm

    Hope everyone is OK!!!

We had the worst storms last night that we have had in years. We lost several trees, and a few shingles.

It was crazy. Fortunately, I think all the really bad stuff has passed now for today.

I hope you are all OK, and have no more damage than we had here.

    Tight lines and God Bless

    Danny

    RE: Storms

Yeah, alot of rain here, wouldn't you know it of all my luck...My float on my sump pump quit or broke...so guess what I found in my year old freshly new finished basement...about 2 inches of water...Talk about bad luck...and no insurance rep has contacted me yet about my claim.... Please everyone it wouldn't hurt to have an alarm installed on your sump pumps to prevent this sort of thing from happening. I had one at my old house, but never thought it would happen to a 18 month old house...so much for thinking...... Should have done it like the wife asked...now I'm in hot water with her.... Pay attention to this post fellow fishermen and women.... It will save your basement from flooding if you got one installed..... It worked for me before....

If you have a security system you can just tie a new zone on that will activate once the water gets to the wires and if it's a monitored system it can call you if your away from home. We do that once in awhile. Just a thought for some of you guys with a basement.

My son's basement flooded also...they just got it redone a few months ago from the last time....it was not a matter of the pump not working...just more water than the pump could handle.
